Steven Peck

About the Trainer: Steven Peck is founder and president of Green Roofs for Healthy Cities, a non-profit industry association promoting the planning, designing and building of green roof, green walls and other architecture projects. Green Roofs was established in 1999.

Peck holds an honors B.A. from McGill University in Political Science and Economics. He was born in Canada. He spent the past 15 years conducting public policy research in the fields of technology innovation and diffusion, and urban sustainability. In 1999 he co-authored a federal government report on barriers to green roof technology diffusion called “Green Backs for Green Roofs.” Peck is an "Editor-at-Large" and publisher of the Living Architecture Monitor magazine, a quarterly publication that his organization puts out. It profiles green roof, living wall, urban agriculture profiles, developments and research in North America. He is the founder of the Annual International Greening Rooftops for Sustainable Communities Conference, Awards and Trade Show.

Jeffery Bruce

About the Trainer: Jeffrey Bruce, FASLA, LEED, ASIC, GRP, is owner of Jeffrey L. Bruce & Company (JBC), a national landscape architectural firm. Founded in 1986, JBC provides highly specialized technical support to many of the nation’s leading architectural and landscape architectural firms on a wide variety of project profiles including engineered soils, green roof technologies, urban agronomy, performance sports turf, and irrigation engineering. Jeffrey has received over 80 separate design and leadership awards and his firm's projects have been published 150 times. He is licensed to practice in 26 states, has served as an invited lecturer, visiting critic, and speaker at over 200 conferences and trade shows and is President of the American Society of Irrigation Consultants (ASIC), and Chairman of Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC).

Mr. Bruce is a LEED accredited professional, a certified irrigation designer, and an EPA WaterSense Certified Professional. He was one of the first accredited Green Roof Professionals (GRP) in North America and is a founding member of the Sports Turf Committee for the National Interscholastic Association of Athletic Administrators.
